Hey guys, this post is regarding the Drama Elections 2009. Please take your time and read it extremely carefully, paying attention to the words in bold. So exciting! Our first election!
Anyways, if you have any questions or concerns about the elections, you can either: Tag on the blog or Text Miss Abidah, Nadia or Aloy. Below is a full detailed explanation about the voting process and position details so please read properly and vote someone who is capable of the roles! All the best, Kudos!


Election process:


The election process is made up of 3 stages.

Stage 1: Nomination

1. You are able to nominate any Drama member from sec1-3 for any of the different roles in the committee. Nominees can be nominated for more than 1 position.

2. Once the name has been nominated, another Drama member will have to second the nomination. The nomination is void if it is not seconded by at least one person.

3. Each position has to have at least one nominee running for it. The nomination process will end once the positions have been filled up by at least one nominee.

Stage 2: Voting

4. Each voter will be given a piece of paper to cast your vote. You are required to place your paper into a box.

5. Once everybody has voted, it will be the closure of the elections.

6. Miss Abidah, Aloyscious and Nadia will be counting the votes. They will not be involved in the nomination process.

Stage 3: Announcement of New Committee

7. The results of the election will be announced in the next general meeting. The final decision will be made in the discretion of Miss Abidah, Aloyscious and Nadia.


Roles and Scope of the job:


President

· Run and manage the club well

· Disseminate information to club members

· Take care of the welfare of the club

· Assist teacher-in-charge to develop and translate a shared artistic vision

· Do administrative work

· Liaise with the teacher-in-charge on other club matters

· Supervise committee members in their execution of duties


Vice-President:

· Assist the President in the running of the club

· Assist to disseminate information to club members

· Do administrative work

· Assist in the delegation of duty

· Work closely with the CCA Councillor


Production Manager:

· Keep track of schedule and projects

· Solve logistic issues pertaining to production matters

· Keep track of attendance of members in the club and informs Teacher-in-charge

· Reports to the Vice-president


Level coordinators:

· Liaise with President, Vice-President to Inform members on meetings and events

· Monitor attendance and refer problems to Production Manager

· Collect forms and money


Treasurer:

· Manage and outline the budget for special projects

· Ensure that all claims are submitted within stipulated deadline

· Collect money and forms from the level coordinators


Artistic director:

· Takes charge of the notice board

· Takes charge of publicity material for club and special projects

· Conceptualise and design t-shirts for club members

· Maintain and update the Drama Blog


Artistic advisor:

· Manage photographs for club events and upload to Drama Blog

· Assist to maintain and update the drama blog

· Assist the artistic director


Deadline:

Okay guys you have about a month to think this over. Hope you guys will really spend the time to think through thoroughly.

Results: 1 July 2009

As for the seniors, you are still allowed to vote. So please everybody, vote wisely!
